Kohler Signature Store in Paramus on Route 17 North

General Plumping Supply has 9 other design showrooms in the Garden State

By Dave Schatz

Paramus - This spacious Kohler showroom opened at the end of last year and General Plumbing Supply (GPS) has been busy since then adding additional displays, according to Elisabeth Woomer, a lively saleswoman.

"From lighting, to faucets and sinks to showers, cabinets and countertops, your inspiration is our mission," reads GPS literature.

While GPS lists "designer showrooms" in Edison, Morris Plains, Bayonne, Hawthorne, Orange, Bergenfield, Matawan, Lakewood, and Green Brook on a broshure, it also has "additional locations" in Ridgefield, Union, Middletown, Dover, and Tenafly. But the Paramus location is not listed on the broshure yet.

"For years, we've partnered with the most trusted manufacturers - from Kolher, Moen, and Grohe to KraftMaid," adds the broshure.

And the shop is right next door to the Suburban Diner.

According to the Website, Woomer, one of the saleswoman on the floor shortly before the store closed at 8:00 p.m. on a Thursday evening in mid-June, has a decade and a half of plumbing experience.

"Woomer is a graduate of the Art Institute of Philadelphia with a Bachelor’s of Science in Interior Design," says the website.

"She pulls from her experience of traveling, love of art, and passion for design to guide her clients through the selection process. With over 15 years of fine plumbing experience, she offers a confident, timeless approach to gracious living with Kohler products. Her favorite Kallista collections are Counterpoint by Barbara Barry and Pinna Paletta by Laura Kirar, along with the brand new Kohler Exhale spray collection. Imagine your next dream bathroom!"

The showroom is located at 160 Route 17 North, Paramus, NJ 07652
